Hi there: The DTC P0700 is a Information Code The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) that monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM. This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes. So basically, the P0700 code is telling you to check the TCM for a transaxle DTC. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it, which can only be done with a diagnostic scanner. The self retreival method for chryslers with the ignition key will not pull up the specific transmission fault codes in the TCM.
The PCM does not calculate the speedometer the TCM does. Most of the time if is not a bad output speed sensor it is the connector. You can purchase a replcement connector from the dealer or a local transmission supply house. Also you must have the correct tire size(Pinion factor) programmed into your TCM and this will need to be done with a professional scan tool.
These are all transmission codes there located insde the trany under oil pan Probably olny one one of them in stuck or bad But you realy should have this done at a transmissoin shop and also have them change filters do a complete service on it to there becase when they go there not cheap to rebuild
then u have one of tow things wrong, the TCM (Transmission Control Module) or defective or the wiring to the transmission is defective, remember this transmission is controlled electrically. have the TCM tested by the dealer with the special scanner they use to pick up electrical issues.
(DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
Translation: Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure.
P0700 Information Code

This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes.
Solenoid Switch Valve Latched in Low/Reverse Position.
The TCM monitors the L/R solenoid to ensure that the fluid transfer happens. It uses a Pressure switch to verify this. Usually this code is set by a switch that is stuck or a solenoid that is not mechanically operating.
A transmission shop would be better suited for this type of work.
