I have the same problem with my 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel truck. When we come to a stop light the diesel smell is so strong. I have been back to the Dodge dealership and they have gone over the entire truck and was also told not to use the fresh air when driving the truck...hmmm

I have the same problem at a stop or just slowing down to turn a corner. It seems to be more frequent on cold days or when it is raining and the air is heavy. The dealership has checked for exaust leaks and found nothing. I have a 08 2500 cummins. I really liked the truck at firsteven after the dealer rplaced the transmission and the turbo and i still only have 10,000 miles, but I am really staritng to dread driving the truck because of the drieness in my nose and a slight head ache after most every trip. IF the heat or ac fan selector is in the recirculate position I have never had a problem, but there is no defrost ti the recirculate position. The dealer says they have never heard of this befor but after a little on line reading I see now that they are blowing smoke.

I have a brand new 2010 Dodge 3500 Diesel. I'm having the same problems as the other people. Diesel fumes in the cab, coming in thru the vents. I've taken it to my dealer 4 times, and once at another dealer. Of course they scratch their *** and say "they can't find a problem". Now after reading these other peoples comments with the same issue. I'm going to seek reimbursement thru the Lemon Law. Looks like there is a real issue with this, but Dodge doesn't want to step up to the plate to address the issue.

Fumes escaping from ac vents inside vehicle while driving and leaves a film residue on inside of windshield whenever the heat or defrost are used.

Hello dedunwoodie.
Your heater core is beginning to leak coolant.
As the fan blows through it it is picking up the liquid and depositing it on your windshield.
It will need to be replaced to solve your problem.

My 2000 dodge ram runs for about 10 minutes and stops, wont crank

Check your inline fuel filter also check your plugs wires for wear. Sounds like a possible Vacuum leak, when not starting. How ever strong smell suggests unburnt fuel. You may want to try a fuel system cleaner to remove any moisture in the fuel system and carbon build up in the exhaust if so try Seafoam available at your local auto parts store. Getting turbo off a 2001 dodge ram 2500 series to replace it

The tuff part is getting to the nuts that clamp the exhaust housing to the exhaust manifold. You may need to modify (heat up and bend) some wrenches to get them all off. Be sure to prime the new turbo before running it.
