Question about 1995 Isuzu Rodeo

1999 isuzu rodeo 2.2L over heating.

I am having problem with the electric fan on my rodeo. I will not kick on all the time. If I hit it with my hand it will come on and run. I know I need to replace the fan. My question is when the fan does not come on I get no heat out of the heater. How are the two connected?

The blower I am talking about is the main cooling fan on the radiator. The Blower on the heater works fine. It is when the main cooling fan stops working the heater blower blows cold air.

The blower your referring to is the unit responsible for moving the hot air out of the heater core so if the blower isn't on the hot air won't come out.

Check engine temperature, fan operation and thermostat.
Also check inside blower operation. If intermittent, then check and/or change the blower motor.

1995 Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 6 cyl - radiator electric fan not kicking on AT ALL - can't figure out where the relay is to check it. Any ideas?

You have 2 fuse panels/boxes under the hood... 1 will have the fuse to your fan. Check them both and it will be a 15 amp to 25 amp fuse. Possibly an 'Inline' fuse, so, look along the wires (2 wires) coming from the fan to the fuse box and Battery/Car Body bolt connector/ground wire. So, 3 places to find Possibly "2" blown fuses. Easy, just don't have anything metallic in your hands while working around the battery or Fuse boxes/panels. Good Luck, I'm sure you'll find/fix it.

Yes...have it checked out. With the belt removed, if it is rough when turned by hand you have found the problem.

On the left hand side of the truck, there are two screws that hold the light assembly in place. Unscrew them and slowly pull the light assembly straight back. Then you can access the light bulbs from there.
