Question about 1999 Volkswagen Golf
I have i 1993 VW golf, and as i was getthing off the highway i pushed in the clutch and when i took my foot off the clutch the petal never came back up, so i powershifted the car home and apent hours looking for the problm but i cant find any thing that would stop the cluch from springing it self back to its normal engaged state, so do you have any idea what would cause it, the cluch lever moves and the cable is atached, but the cluch lever wount go to it normal posishon so it dosent pull the petal back (its a cable cluch)
From what I am gathering. the pedal and cable assemblys are ok. then it is time to tear into the clutch its self. Sounds like the throwout bearing is bad.
