My kid's friend peed in the gas tank at a party cause it ran out of gas.We put gas in it and drove it home one hour later it wouldn't start. Why and how do I fix it?

I just went thru a similar problem. When I changed my fuel filter the problem stopped. I can't say that it is the exact solution for your problem. But it is a cheap fix if it is. You can remove the old one and tell before you buy a new one. The filter is located in fron of the gas tank. It comes off easily. If its clogged then replace it. ( I recommend replacing it evey year anyways). There are a few other possible problems that it could be. I hope this helps

Sounds like air in fuel line. Purge fuel line. By "crank", do you mean engine spins but won't catch? Try starter fluid in intake.

I had the same problem. I ran a piece of hose through my filler line and opened a stuck back flow in the line. Then filled up my tank.

it is one of two things the fuel gauge in the tank is bad or the gauge in the dash is bad...I would check with the dealer to see if they have seen that problem before...they maybe a recall for that problem...
Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.
To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.
