Sounds to me like a frozen up fuel pump, more than likely doesn't mean you have to replace it, try filling it with gas to at least half tank and give her a try, and make sure you check to make sure that your fuel pump is running, you'll be able to hear it when you turn your ignition on

1998 honda passport ran outta gas.cant start it...can anyone provide step to step actions i can tak?

well if it only ran out of gas, and did not stop for some other reason, then just filling with gas and normal starting should work just fine. sometimes it does take a bit of cranking to get fuel running again.

Expedition ran out of gas it won't start now with gas put in it

could be a clogged fuel filter or fuel line.preventing enough fuel reaching the pump or engine. or you could have burned out your fuel pump (they cant take running dry for very long)

My hhr ran out of gas, filled it, now it wont start at all.

Only Ford products have a Fuel Safety
Reset Switch & they only open in an
accident
Have it towed to a shop & diagnosed
Given the age & the fact you ran it out
of fuel,I would say the fuel pump needs
to be replaced

My olds silhoutte i ran out of gas and now i have gas it jirks and i cycle the key 3 time i have to oump gas peddle the it will start but soon i i quit pumping it dies and takes a wile to start again

This sounds like the fuelpump is bad, it may have been on its way out or when you ran out of gas it sucked up all the dirt at the bottom of the gas tank. it sounds like the pump cant produce the correct amout of pressure needed to keep the engine running. if you have a fuel pressure gauge you can test the pressure and know for sure its a bad fuelpump. you would connect the gauge to the valve on the fuel rail and then turn the ignition on and there should be 55psi of pressure. if the pressure is lower by more than 4psi or no pressure then replace the pump which is located inside the gas tank. i think you will find that the fuel pump is bad. good day. hope this is helpful.
