You need to have someone check and see if vacuum is getting to the brake booster. If it is getting vacuum you will have to have the booster replaced.

1996 ford ranger blew a brake line and now it will not start. is it related?

Plug in an O.B.D.2 machine to the outlet under the dash on the driver's side, and see what codes come up. They will start with a letter P and 4 numbers. Put that code into Google and it will give you your problem. OBD2 stands for On Board Diagnostics.

Why does the brake peddel sometime goes hard?

Sounds like the engine vacuum drops, incase being a petrol engine. If it's a diesel, the vacuum pump might be worn out, and need to be replaced.

My 2001 ford f350 super duty wont lock up even if i stand on the brake pedal, whats the possible problems??

I would think the anti-lock brake system would prevent you from being able to lock up the brakes.
If the truck is hard to stop, there could be a glazing on the pads and rotors.

Lost power brakes brake pedal really hard and have to stand on the pedal to stop. 2007 volkswagen rabbit

look under the hood and check the brake booster. this is the part behind the master cylinder where you would put the brake fluid. on the brake booster there should be a large vaccum hose make sure this is hooked up and the other end is hooked up. ......your peadle is so hard because the brake booster is'nt getting any vuccum.

have the brakes bleed first and if that does not take care of the problem have the master cylinder checked because the check valve in the master cylinder could be bad
