Question about 1994 Suzuki Sidekick

1 Answer

I have a 1994 suzuki sidekick that have this squeeking or squealing going on. It's making that noise even while I'm driving. I put a new alternator and power steering belt on it. Any suggestions. My engine light is also on and I was told buy a mechanic that my engine is slipping. He gave me that diagnosis just by driving my truck. Is that an expensive problem?

The timing belt on my 1991 suzuki sidekick makes a low pitch squeal, those the tension on the belt have something to do with it?

If the squeal is other than the timing belt, you have major problems, such as bearings, crank bearing, cam bearing or other.

I have a 1994 Suziuki Sidekick that I'm replacing the clutch and transmission on and I cannot find the torque specs for the flywheel.

Hi Mouthtrick,

Set them at 78nm. Use a dog tooth tool mounted where the starter motor fits and lock it into the ring gear when tightening.

ok on the squealing problem most likelly your alternator belt is loose try to tie the belt because any electrical load put more load on the alternator, specially in the morning since the batterie gets the load from the starter,

on the lights check all the bulbs and make sure they are ok
