Can any one tell me from start to finish.I have to replace wifes electric+Heated drivers wing door mirror after a van knocked it off apparntley! Does it just clip out by pulling at it and then clip new whole door mirror on and put connections back on (how easy is it)??
Thanking all in advance
It is a vauxhall(uk)/opel not vw (This site does not allow me to put english make on so disreguard product category)
yes its very simple 10 min job however you must check under the mirror adjustment handle in the cab (prize of gently)normally 2 -3screws hold the mirrors in place unscrew the 2-3 screws of she comes! make sure your wife is there to catch the old one or you get glass on your drive. remove rubber sealing pads and reuse them on new one if not fitted disconnect the wiring plugs and fit new mirror one in reverse order its a very simple job unlike otheres which are a pain. if you like this solution please rate me :)
the inner cover (the one on your side) goes off by pushing it upwards , then ull find 3 screws, 8 or 9 mm, take the off, unplug the electrical connection and the old mirror should come off fairly easy, replace, redo the invert process hope this helps have fun
remove the panel with the speaker in it at the side if the window pull it off! it will need a few new clips but its the ony way, behind there is 2/3 t25 bolts take them out and un clip the wireing harness pull on the mirror and it will come off replace iin reverse order the clips u can get from and good car spairs shop a few quid tops thanks, jezza
