Look under the Hood and Locate the Fuse Relay Box. Inside this Box there will be a Relay Marked Guages, Illumination, Or Lighting. Check the gages light come on and engine was hot

If you tell your mechanic one complaint, that is what they are going to focus on. Most midlevel techs wont check all your fluids . If you didn't mention to them about your possible trans issue ,then they are likely not going to check your fluid.

My dash lights and gages are not working and my night driving lights are not working either... do i need a new cluster

If you mean the parking lights, they are not affected by the cluster.
The gauges are on one fuse, the dash lights are on another, and the parking lights on a third circuit.
I would check for power at the fuses then headlight switch for the lighting problems. And for voltage at the fuse and the connector on the back of the cluster for the gauges problem.

I have a 1996 plymouth neon that the dash gages and odometer have a electrical problem. They work when a bump is hit and then stop working the same way.

If that has the digital dash there is a crack in the circuit board on back of dash board it will need to be replaced.

My heat gage quit working and my speedmeter quit to as my gas gage to what coud be wrong they all stoped at once and no dash light

That dash board uses ribbon connectors to connect to the wiring harnesses. Make sure the connectors haven't come free. You can pick up a used one that works from a parts yard for about $25 and replace the old one. This all assumes that the fuses for the dash are in good working order. The only reason I recommend replacing the cluster is because you lost too much at once and this could be caused by a short on the board that controls it all.

1997 Dodge Grand caravan, problems started with intermittant loss of gages & flashing lights on the buttons for a/c & recirc. it then progressed to the loss of my hi beams, cabin lights, remote...

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like you have a problem under the dash with the main harness wireing as it comes thru the dash board from the firewall or at a connection under the dash board. Or if your dash board is controlled by a circuit board. Best Bet, Have an electrical auto shop in your area take a look, many things to take apart under the dash and you may make the problem worse with out realizeing it, no matter how versed you are with cars.

No spark to plugs, oil pressure light on, engine died

Is your dash cluster working? If not this will cause the problem. The gas gage, temp gage, odometer, and transmission shift indicator will not light up. Give the dash a hard thump above the cluster this may or may not temporarily fix the problem.
