I have my code. The radio in the manual is different the radio I have. I have the Bose system. Does anyone know what buttons to press to get into code mode and what buttons change the codes on the display, and finally what to press when you are done?

Re: Reset code for Bose Radio not documented
Holding the scan and rds buttons when the radio says SAFE. Then the 4 dashes should come up, enter the code using the station 1-4 buttons. If this does not allow you to enter the code try pressing scan and TP.

The code is set unique for each radio, as it is installed. It is then supposed to be written down in the owner's manual. But if it was not, then anyone selling that brand of radio and reset it to a new code that they can tell you. For example, if it is a Blaupunkt radio, then a Mercedes, VW, or even Best Buy store could help you. But no one here can, because even someone with the same year and model car and radio, would have a different code.

THEFTLOCK is designed to discourage theft of your vehicle’s radio. The feature works automatically by learning a portion of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). If the radio is moved to a different vehicle, it will not operate. If the radio is removed from your vehicle, the original VIN in the radio can be used to trace the radio back to your vehicle.
With THEFTLOCK® activated, the radio will not operate if stolen.
