only backfires when going down highway and you steady accelerate

this can be caused by defective plug wires or a very lean cylinder condition, what other symtoms do u have? how many miles on the plugs and wires? is the fuel pressure up to spec under a load? when does this most often happen? have u run any trouble code tests?
