Unscrew horn bar from back. remove 3 screws holding horn ring. remove nut and washer and remove steering wheel (may have to use steering wheel puller) now look at what you see and stop. order turn signal repair kit from Eckler's late great chevy phone 1-800-285-7461 cost about 21.00. kit is just a half dozen small parts. replace old parts with new and put everything back in place and you're done. very easy and I'm a dummy. DISCONNECT GROUND WIRE FROM BATTERY BEFORE YOU START SO YOU DON'T SHORT ANYTHING OUT. ECKLER'S WILL ANSWER AND QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. THE HAVE A FREE MECHANIC HELP LINE. EASY JOB.

A yellow light just came on on my 2008 Impala. Its a circle with an exclamation mark. What does it mean?

Tire pressure monitoring system. Start by checking your tire pressure and set to what the sticker on the drivers side door frame indicates. If this does not turn the light off you will have to re-learn the sensors to the vehicle. This is done by:
reset the tire pressure monitoring system, to do so, you need to get your key fob, and put your ignition key in the ignition, turn it to the accesories position, and simultaneously press the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob. hold them until the car honks the horn.

then take something to let out air in the tires, you need to start with the left front then go to the right front, then the right rear, then the left rear.

start at the left front, drop the pressure in the tire until the horn beeps, -usually takes 8 seconds or so. then repeat on the other tires in the order above.

After you finish with the final tire, the horn will honk again, then you know your done. usually honks 2 times.

and then you can turn the key off, and set your tire pressures.

My horn used to honk when I locked my 1999 Jeep with the remote

If you have your owner's manual, there is a section that will tell you the exact sequence to press to enable/disable the horn bonk. It has three settings, chirp, honk, and off. The chirp is a really quick chirp of the horn. Honk is a longer honk. Off seems to be what you've set.

I hope this helps.

97 Jetta GLS - Horn honks when I turn the wheel to the left

sounds like there is something in the wrong place in the horn button. it makes contact when you turn left just as if you had pushed the horn button. i wonder does your airbag light ever come on, i mean not just in the startup sequence, that's normal. probably you need to take the horn button part of the steering wheel apart and get things back in the right place or maybe replace some parts, but because of the airbag being right there too it's not something i would recommend that you do yourself. accidentally setting off an airbag is not a good thing.

2003 Chevy Venture - Horn has started randomly honking. Had to pull fuse to shut off. How can I fix this?

Chances are you have a faulty clock spring in the steering wheel, you will most likely need to have it replaced.
