Question about 2005 Jeep Liberty

1 Answer

I just purchased a 05 Jeep Liberty and I now hear a clicking/tapping sound coming from I think the front right. It goes away when I apply the brakes. I just had a complete brake job done to the vehicle. All the lug nuts are tight.

It is probably brake pad pulsation due to worn rotors (the thickness is less then it is required). Also check brake caliper assembly.
Good Luck

Check the connector for function, this issue sounds like a trailer issue, grounds are a major issue with trailers.

From your description it sounds like you have a bad CV joint, in the front.
This example shows what the CV joint, and axle together, looks like for the Drivers side. (Not advertising for these people)

I think it has to be your brakes. You better take them apart and look. They may look good from one end, but be shot on the other, or good on the outside, and worn out on the inside.
