CLICK HERE for the owners manual you require.

The instructions can be found on page 78.

There are 2 methods to enable/disable this feature. One through your
dealer and the second with a door lock sequence using the following
instructions:
1. Turn the ignition key to RUN, then press the door UNLOCK control
button 3 times.
2. Turn the ignition key to OFF, then press the door UNLOCK control
button 3 times.
3. Turn the ignition key to RUN, within five seconds press the door
UNLOCK control button 1 time.
The user should receive a horn chirp to indicate the system has been
altered.
Pressing the power door UNLOCK control button again will toggle the
Autolock/Relock states.
² Turn ignition to OFF to exit.

Reset security system in 1999 ford taurus SHO,battery was replaced, now it will not start, because of security system, and also reset door combination, previous owner had no knowledge of the matter

Ok just the battery was replaced do you have a key fob remote control to stop the horn/alarm from sounding if no this is why your stuck in theft mode if you do have one make sure the battery in it is good and the contacts are tight against the battery disc inside it,next you must disconnect the battery cables and wait 3-5minutes then reconnect them when the alarm/horn sounds stop it with the remote and you'll be out of theft mode, if you just got a new fob it has to be programmed into the system by turning your key from off to on real fast until your door locks cycle this is about 8 times in 20 seconds then when the door locks cycle press any button on the remote control to cycle the locks again (lock/unlock)and now the fob is programmed into the system and the battery cable process must be repeated again if you have the manual it tells you the amount of key turns needed but just keep doing it you must be fast and the locks will cycle door code in comments

Fobs are not working on my 2010 ford explorer changed batteries and still dont work. what fuse relates to the fobs

Did you try programming the key fob? Your owners manual has this info. I don't know if programming will help or not? Just a thought.
fleet.ford.com should have your owners manual, if you don't have one,you can read it for free.
Also try owner.ford.com
has owners manual you can look at for free.

My Lexus es300 2001 Doors get locked after i shut the even when I do not Lock the door. When I reopen the door with the key, the alarm goes up and will not stop until I start the engine again

Check your owners manual, you may have different programming modes for the locks ,such as automatic locking time etc.If you have different lock programming, reset the locks to a program you like. Also, sometimes just the action of shutting the door makes the lock button contacts touch inside the button and the doors lock, try shutting the door softly to check for this.

I'm looking to buy a 1994 Ford Taurus. The owners have 1 ignition key, but no door keys and no key fobs. How you loose these, I have no idea! How do I get replacement door keys and remotes? Are these...

Ford can cut a key with the vin#. As far as the fob, dealerships don't carry them any longer. If you can find one on eBay the dealership can reprogram it but most are too lazy and won't bother. Google "replacement key fobs", there are a few companies that sell
Replacements and can program them for you. Pep boys and auto zone also carry replacements but I'm not sure about the programing. Good luck.

How can i program my door lock code or find out what it is. on my 2000 limited edition explorer

FORD KEY PADS
  • Enter permanent factory code
  • Press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds to enter programming mode
  • Within 5 seconds enter new code, doors will lock, unlock to verify code, this erases previous codes remotes will also need to be programmed.
FORD KEY PADS/REMOTES
  • Insert key, turn ignition off-to- on eight times in succession, ending with key in on position doors will lock, unlock to verify in programming mode
  • Press any button on new remote, doors will lock, unlock to verify
  • Do the previous step with the second remote, doors will lock unlock to verify.
  • Turn ignition off. Doors will again lock, unlock to verify.
NOTE-I found that some Explorer/Mountaineers enter program mode after 5 times-not 8.

Here is the link for further info.

Your factory code is on a card in the owners manual. If that is lost, access the control module in the cargo area behind the left cover panel.

You MIGHT be able to see the code printed on it, or you might need to pull it out in order to see it.

2001 Ford Taurus door locks

The electric motor that pulls the lock button up and down has failed, you will need to pull the door panel to replace it. Yes it is fairly common.
