Question about 2000 Chrysler Sebring
The lights on the dash turn off at random while driving at night. I fiddled with the turn signal knob, no effect. Sometimes they come on when the head lights on turned on, some times they do not come on at all.
thanks for your help!

Typically, when when this happens, the system is low on fluid and/or must be bled. Here are the procedures:
Lower the top to the full down position.

There are many parts involved in the ABS system. You will need access to a scan tool to find out the fault code and go from there. It could be a wheel sensor or circuit, communications failure, system undervoltage, the list goes on and on.

the reason why ur car squeaks is the ball joint i have a chrysler and same thing happened n my friend knows a lil bit bout cars had the same prob with hiss car and then the tire came of came to find out it was the ball joint causing the squeaks its not bearings or ur brakes car places told me same thing didnt fix it it is 100 percent ur ball joint and when u ask for the part ask for a lower control arm with a ball joint and install it by whoever

I would expect this is more to do with a low coolant level than an electrical issue. If your coolant is low when you turn off the headlights your engine revs will increase slightly increasing the pressure in your coolant system and pushing fluid into your heater core.
Check your coolant reservior when your car is cold (first thing in the morning), it should be at max cold. If it is lower than this you may not have warm coolant in your heater core.
If this is the case...then where did your coolant go?
Most likely the thermostat/temp housing is leaking...replaced both on my two 2001 sebrings...common issue..~$150 for parts and a little awkward to install but fairly easy fix.
