Pretty basic the same and any other wheel bearing. But you need a hydraulic press, if you dont have one of those then their is just no way that you will be able to do it.

If it is newer than an 05 you need to take it to the dealership, because they need to hook up their computer and electronically disengage the rear parking brakes by putting it into service mode.

Recently had a front wheel collapse onmy s type jaguar ive had it fixed but the DSC light is on and ABS is coming on under breaking on drivers side front wheel any ideas

the jaguar front wheel bearing comes complete with a abs sensor and bearing cover if someone has removed the cover it sounds like the air gap between sensor and the reluctor ring is to great or has someone renewed just bearing and not the hub unit like you are ment to do? have a good look at the rear of the bearing cover.

I have a really loud humming noise in Tue rear end of my 03 JAG s type just wondering what could be the issue here?

I can almost assure you its a rear wheel hub bearing. It will have to be replaced at a shop...Job will cost about 4-500.00 bucks..The s types are notorious for this. The bearing will usuall make the noise as you go into the corner turns and if you turn in the opposing side wheel the sound will go away until you go into a straight line. They will usual take a stethascope while the car is on the rack and place it in drive to pin point the bearing.Good luck..

Bearing Noise but is not a wheel Bearing ,probably in transmission

i was told i needed a new transmission and also had a rear real bearing noise and needed it replaced. I chose to have trany replaced. I never, never heard a noise from rear wheel . Anyway, after driving my 2002 ford explorer ,repaired with overhaul tran kit and new torque converter, at 160 miles it really does not feel like it is shifting right. I call the "reputable " company" and they say, " Oh you know you are probably mistaking that for that whhel bearing noise I told you about!"
Can ou give me your summation here? Alot of $$ I sons wedding expenses I had saved...thank you
