Heater stays on

My 2005 9-3 heater stays on when the car is off. You cant turn it off or down. It makes my car die a lot. Eventually it will shut its self off. Any idea what this is?
Thanks

This is due to a faulty vacuum control module, located behind the heat/air control center.

It sounds like you need a new heater control switch if you cant turn it down or off. you should be able to get one at a salvage yard pretty cheap

When i turn my heater on my car wont stay cranked

Need a couple of questions answered here. Did you recently disconnect the battery for any reason? Also, when you say heater, are you turning it to heater/defrost? If you answer yes to both, I can help you.

I have a 1992 Honda Accord. When you shut off the car the blower motor stays on and the lights on the heater panel.

Make sure your fan is wired correctly, if the fan is wired correclty which it may but could be crossed and spinning backward and sending power through ground wire causing a power up of the inside light and blower, if the wiring is good then replace the cooling fan relay, that must be shorting and back feeding power to heater control.

When I turn off my ignition, my heater fan will keep running

I just started experiencing the same problem. Yes, typically after rainy days, I can never get the interior lights to go out after the ignition key has been removed. The car acts as if there is a door open. Now, my latest problem is with the heater fan. Of course, putting the control in the "off" position will turn it off but you can turn it on and off with no ignition key installed. I'm also having problems with my heater core too so it's been a pain in the but!!

I believe this problem has also caused my battery to die which is why I'm on this site in the first place!! I can't get into the car with the keys and the dead battery won't allow me to unlock the car!! When it rains it pours!!!

Smell antifreeze kind of behind the throttle body by the passenger side firewall but, no leaks. Everything is dry liek a bone. I also hear gurgling from the coolant reserve tank after my 2005 Dodge Grand...

Is it low in water? You have a heater control valve on that side . Your heater hoses connects to it to let hot water in the car when the heater is turned on. Check and make sure the passenger floor is dry. If it is wet you will need a heater core
