Question about 2000 Volkswagen Golf

Car cuts out and loss of power

Please help me. I have a 2000 VW Golf TDI which I love but recently the coil light has been appearing on the dash whilst driving, causing the car to lose power for a second or two. Some time the car even cuts out altogether due to this or the battery light would appear on the dash. Just today it sut out altogether with the oil and battery light appearing and when it started there was no accerlation.
I had the fuel filter changed about 3 months which fixed the problem then but its started reappearing now and im very concerned about it-especially as I travel a lot on busy roads

My vw golf tdi suffered a loss of powere whilst driving then followed with what sounds like a holed exhaust from the front. It wont go over 30mph and there are no warning lights on the dash.

Must be a broken cat converter. The platinum honeycomb core is broken into several pieces and clogging the exhaust pipe preventing you to go more than 45 mph. Try hitting it with a rubber mallet and listen if any pieces rattling inside. If it sounds like pebbles inside, it's time to replace it.

VW Golf TDI enjin power loss and shudder at certain temperature

I think i would be inclined to look at the coil pack ,and the wiring for this where it comes from the ECU ,i have never come across this before but its possible if the ECU isnt passing the correct information to the coil pack to fire in the right order ,what about the crank position sensor wiring are they shorting somewhere ?' Have a good look at the wiring and if necessary take the black outer sheafing off to inspect the wires inside

19 tdi loss of power

I have a 1999 VW golf tdi with intermittent loss of power. The turbo will cut in for a few seconds, then die forcing you to change gear and get a small boost again. The turbo will not boost much past 2200 rpm. The cars computer has been plugged in at the garage and does not show any problems. Various people have said, replace turbo, air mass meter or just simply wash turbo filters in WD40. Can anyone help?
