SOURCE: water not circulating,we put on radeator cap water pump ,intake gasket, flush heater core, engine radeator, reservoir

sounds like your air locked inside there should be 2 bleeders one by the thermostat and in the front of the engine near the pulleys you will probably need a 5/16 or 8 mm wrench to crack them open do one at a time while running make sure all the air gets out and you get a steady stream of fluid coming out once it is bled or you think all the air is out go inside the car and see if you have constant heat if you do then all the air is out.also turn on the heater while bleeding it.

SOURCE: Car is over heating. Alero 2001

If you changed the hoses and thermostat and the car is still overheating, then the next thing to look at is the water pump. See if the water pump is leaking water from a vent hole. If it is, then the water pump is defective and will need to be replaced. Sure hope this helped.

SOURCE: no heat replaced thermostat water pump and

when you changed the therm you let air into the system and it will usually cause a air bubble in the heater core you probally should try to burp the system there is usually a plug or a relief valve check with your dealer fro instructions on how to burp the air out of the system try that first befor4e trying to replace the heater core

2006 Pontiac Torrent with 3.4 engine having trouble over heating. Replaced the intake, thermo stat and water pump still same problem this is being worked on by mechanic in Saratoga Springs any ideas

What's the actual temp of the engine ? Hooking up a scanner that can view engine sensor data ,would be one way to tell or using a infrared thermometer gun. You can buy one for less then $30 at harbor freight tools . Do the cooling fans turn on at 221 drgrees . Turn on the A/C ,do the cooling fans come on ? GM had bad step motors in the instrument cluster from 2003 to 2006 . These step motors control the gauge needle position . Replaced a bunch of these instrument clusters because customer thought the vehicle was over heating ,but wasn't . Having the correct tools an knowledge , could have had it diagnosed in just a couple of minutes .

What could cause a 1997 chev blazer to overheat

Blown head gasket, water pump, clogged radiator or leaking radiator, timing, faulty thermostat, cracked head, Thermo fans not working. They are a few things you can check without buying expensive equipment to check the engine.
Blown head gasket= remove spark plugs and check them for any signs of water on them. also check for bubbles in the radiator when you remove the cap and do a compression test on each cylinder.
Water Pump= remove radiator cap and see if there is movement in the water.
thermostat= remove and put in water with a temp gauge and see if it opens when the water heats up and at what temp.
Thermo fans= unplug from wiring harness and run a wire from your battery positive and negative terminal to the 2 pin plug, touch the other ends of the wires to the terminals in the plug to see if the therm fans turn, if they do the Thermo sender unit may be faulty or the relay.
If the engine has not had recent work done on it the timing should not be that far out to make it over heat.

Coolant low, steam out of exhaust, and rough idle at start,

Hate to tell you this bud but you have a head problem most definitely
Head gasket is blown or maybe even a cracked head
Bad news is most caddy engines have problems with head bolts upon removal
I would be looking for a used engine

Replace ther fan rad water pump even put elec fan on still heating up

Have you replaced the rad cap or the thermos stat? If so you may have an air lock within the system which would require you to run the car for 10 to 15 mins with out the rad cap on this should remove the air lock..

Car steaming out of coolant recovery tank

Have you tried flushing out your radiator? Not sure that this sounds like a problem with a gasket but if all else fails just ask a mechanic... Sounds like this type of problem would be easy to diagnose if somebody has seen it before. Sorry I can't be of more help.
