where do you live. Never put straight water in a radiator even during the summer. Do you see any leaks around the water pump, radiator hoses, or in the passenger side floor inside also at the firewall where the heater hoses go into the heater.

Does my coolant tank need repair or do I just need to add coolant?

do not use water. During freezing nights, the water could freeze. when water freezes, it expands. when it expands it can crack your engine block. Do you see anything leaking under the car when its running? Does your car constantly blow smoke out the exhaust?

Low coolant in reserve every week

Absolutely have to stop using it, until the issue is resolved,
just common sense

There are no Fluids on any vehicle that are consumed
or need topping off,ever

You have a leak & it has to be found

If you see no coolant leaks & you need to really
spend time looking.

Have to crawl all over & under the vehicle & don't miss a thing,
check both hot & cold & after a trip

You could have a head gasket going & that is not good,
you won't see any leaks with that situation.

I have a1999 2500 suburban turbo diesel. the truck is missing coolant, but the driveway is dry. there is no noticeable leak. the still car runs great. please help

Sounds like a pin hole in one of your smaller hoses, perhaps over the motor where the water that's lost is hitting on the engine & drying before it gets to the ground. Can add some dye or food coloring to the water to make it a little easier to find. After pulling into the driveway, with the motor still running, inspect all the smaller hoses, heater hoses, etc. with gloves & a rag move the hoses from side to side, if the hole is under a clamp this should allow you to see the leak, especially with coloring in the water. If the hole is under a clamp it will only be lost under operating pressure.

1999 gmc suburban has water loss

Good chance that it will be a bad heater core if your floor boards are getting wet, but has the inside of your windshield been fogging up. Most of the time when a heater core goes bad, the inside of the windshield fogs up. If the leak is not that bad, you can add 2 to three table spoon of common kitchen black pepper. The Black pepper will work it's way to the leak and plug it up till your can have it repaired properly and the black pepper will clean up easily when the cooling system get's flushed. Good luck and this should by you some time so you can work on it in the summer. Don't use any radiator stop leak, they just make a mess to your cooling systems water ways.

The oil pressure in my 1999 chevy suburban went down today and i dont know why it says that. it says that i have oil. plus for the last couple weeks i have had to add water and antifreeze to my radiator...

5.7L engine? That engine is natorious for the intake manifold gaskets leaking. They leak coolant out of the corners where the manifold meets the heads. They usually don't leak all the time though because the block and heads are cast iron and the intake is aluminum the expansion and contraction rates metals are different. As far as the oil pressure goes I would put a mechanical gauge on it 1st. for test purposes. It could be just a faulty gauge.
