Did you check the fuel flow from the pump to the filter, then the filter to the injector common rail fuel test port? Did you check under the hood for the two fuses that control the fuel pump and the fuel injectors? If all that checks out look under the rear storage area under the carpet for a black gromet and a white and yellow plug. Two wires branch off and go to the center of the floor then down to the fuel tank. disconnect that plug and check resistance on those two wires to the fuel pump. From my memory it should read like .08 ohms if the unit is good. Check voltage while one of your buddies turns the key. If all checks out you just may have a bad pump. **** I ahve found that the common problem has been a bad connection at the plug, cloged fuel filter, or a blown fuse in the pump or injector circuits.

Good Luck I hope I helped.

The fuel pump is in the tank the tank is held up by 2 straps and when you loosen those straps you have to unhook the fuel lines unplug the plug to the fuel pump and take the fill hose loose and then let the tank down to the ground, there is a O ring on the tank you have to take off to get the pump out and to put the new one in.usually takes 2 people to do it

Ford 3930. tractor died after running rough for about a minute. turns over but now it wont start. has plenty of fuel in the tank.

Check the flow at the fuel pump,a filter generally doesn't go bad/plug up within a minute so it may be the pump.Check flow to the pump from the tank also.

I have olds intrigue '98. Always ran great.

If you are saying it starts and then dies, have you checked fuel pressure again ? Could be the fuel pump relay.

I have a 2002 Mustang GT. I t has a 4.6 motor and Automatic ******. Car is mostly stock with aftermarket exhaust, gears and a cold air intake. The car has always been reliable and the other day I was...

I have had to change the inertia switch for poor connections. Ford has updated some of the switches and harness. Quick test is to unplug it and jump the connector to eliminate it. There is a fuel pump relay that acts up as well. Fuse 14 is the pump fuse in the engine comp, the relay is by the coolant bottle, there is also a fuel pump driver module on GT 4.6L located under the trunk. Or maybe the pump. When you want to diagnose it I can help you through chat or phone.

Good Luck

My Hyundai Santa Fe starts sometimes, If I continue to turn the key off and on it evenully starts. I have plenty of power, and the clicking is coming from on top of the motor under the shod under the hood,...

First of all, that 'ticking' noise you mention, if it's what I think it is, it's normal (purge control solenoid valve) being modulated by the ECM to **** the vapors back out of the charcoal canister. The 'Hard Starting' condition you describe could be almost anything from fuel (fuel pressure, fuel pump, injectors), timing, air leaks, vacuum leaks, crank position sensor, etc.). You'll want to connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel feed hose/tube at the engine fuel rail (where the injectors are) and monitor the pressure when this hard start condition occurs so you can at least eliminate it as the cause. If you find the pressure is low or 'intermittent' or 'fluctuates' abnormally, you'll want to inspect the wiring/connections between the fuel pump fuse and the fuel pump connector - repair/replace as needed. If the wiring/ connections are good and you have power & ground at the fuel pump, then the problem is probably the fuel pump.

Fuse location for 2004 suburban

If it has blown, then chances are the pumps shot. Same thing happened on my 01 Tahoe.

Fuse is in the box on the drive fender. I believe it was a 10, 15, maybe 20 (as I recall, it was yellow). I don't remember the marking, but it didn't say fuel pump. Maybe something like APRS1 and APRS2. Something like that.
