Question about 2008 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes Benz C Class
I have 2003 E320 with Command system. Yesterday the radio wouldn't turn off when I turned off ignition and removed key. It always turned off has in the past. I had to turn itoff at the manjual switch. Today same thing happened but after manually turning it off and returning to the car and starting up the display wasn't operating at all. Got the MERCEDES BENZ logo but no nav, no DVD no CD operation and CD panel toowouldn't open - the radio works fine and I can still change radio channels from the numeric keypad. The dash however doesn'r display any info at all other than an underscore - line.
I recentlyhad someone run up theback of meand thought maybe this caused a connection to come off?
The fuse and power supply box is located on the left side of the trunk behind the little panel. pull the 40 amp fuse for the sound system in that panel in the trunk. I believe its an orange fuse, 5-7 slots from the bottom. should be the only 40 amp fuse on the bottom half of that fuse panel. check the fuse chart behind the triangular panel on the left side of the dash. pull the fuse for 15 seconds and reboot the comand system. if the system doesnt reboot and operate normal, then 1 or more of the audio control modules is taking down the whole system through its fiber optic ring.
