Question about 1991 Chevrolet S-10

2 Answers

2002 Chevy S10 4.3 02 sensor bank 2/sensor 1 code P0155. Hi My name is Robin, I have recently replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter on this truck. Before any of those repairs were made I was getting the above mention code and my service engine light is on. Replace the sensor and drove it about 100 miles. The same code popped back up again. Any ideas?

    I have a 2003 Sonoma 4.3L with the same problem. I pulled the code and it showed bank 2 sensor 1 being the problem. So i cleared the code and in about 10 miles the code came back. I checked the code again and the same problem re-occured. I picked up a replacement oxygen sensor and installed the new one and then cleared the code once again. Thought all was well until about a hundred miles later the code popped back up. I have not checked to see if there is a short or open circuit in the wiring after the oxygen sensor plug. If this is a possible solution, how can i check it other than visibly? I do not have any specs of voltage or resistances that the O2 sensor should be reading. Thanks for the time.

    P0155 - 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description

    02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
    What does that mean?

    This code refers to the front oxygen sensor on Bank 2. The heated circuit in the oxygen sensor decreases time needed to enter closed loop. As the O2 heater reaches operating temperature, the oxygen sensor responds by switching according to oxygen content of the exhaust surrounding it. The ECM tracks how long it takes for the oxygen sensor to begin switching. It the ECM determines (based on coolant temp) that too much time elapsed before the oxygen sensor began operating properly, it will set P0155. See also: P0135 (Bank 1).
    Potential Symptoms

    You will likely notice poor fuel economy the illumination of the MIL.
    Causes

    A code P0155 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
    O2 Heater element resistance is high
    Internal short or open in the heater element
    O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
    open or short to ground in the wiring harness
    Possible Solutions
    Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
    Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)

P0155 error code Mitsubishi diamante 2002 where is it located the sensor

P0155 is not telling you which part is defective, it is saying there is a problem in the system and that the triggers the fault code. In this case you have a O2 sensor whose heater is not heating. This may be the senor or the wiring to it.
P0155 OBD-II Trouble Code: 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction in cylinder Bank 2 (V6 only), Sensor 1, this is the sensor before the catalyst.

02 Chevy blazer p0155,p0446 codes. What to do?

EVAP Evaporative Emission Control System .follow this link for the P0446 fault , this is a problem with the Engine Evap valve , this link describes in detail the system etc. The other code P0155 is for the Front Oxygen sensor bank 2 , this could be a faulty wiring connection or the sensor its self so further diagnosis will be required .I would advice using a good quality fuel addative , one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as the usual engine parts, injectors etc as there may just be build up of carbon on the sensor that is restricting the signal being recieved , keep me posted if you wish

I'm thinking about buying a 2002 range rover. It has a service/check engine codes of 134,135,155. Is it likely to be more than oxygen sensor problems? Please reply , Mel

with those codes showing, it could be either bad O2 sensors or there is a problem with the wiring to those sensors. Also, the wrong sensors may be installed. I'm assuming codes P0134, P0135, P0155.

For others viewing this:

P0134 = O2 sensor circuit-no activity detected (bank 1 sensor 1)

P0135 = O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1)

P0155 = O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 2 sensor 1)

Ok i got a 2002 saturn vue..code was saying bank 1 bank 2 running lean..the vue runs perfect ,sometime at park it would idle hi.anyways i have replaced the mass air flow unit..turn off light,comes back on...

I had exactly the same problem .Mine was corrected with replacing the O2 sensors .The sensors cost less than $30 each but cost about 20 mins labor per sensor .So if you got an honest mechanic the total cost will be around $130 .

Ive got a question for a 1997 chevy tahoe. i need to find out which o2 sensor to change when a DTC codes register with P0155 AND P0154. can anybody help me?

P0155 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
THIS IS THE SENSOR BEFORE THE CAT CONVERTER
P0154 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
SAME SENSOR, WHEN THEY SAY BANK 2 IT IS THE BANK OF CYLINDERS OPPOSITE THE BANK THAT HAS #1 CYLINDER IN IT,
MAKE SURE THE SENSOR IS CONNECTED AND THAT THE CONNECTOR IS NOT DAMAGED.

I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid. I received 2 error codes P0441 and P0155. I had a sensor replaced and now I am receiving 1 code a Po152. Can you please tell me what this means?

P0152 is o2 sensor 2/1 voltage high. Sensor 2/1 is your right bank upstream o2 sensor located in the manifold. Make sure it is pluged in.
