The radio receives power from the RADIO fuse in the junction block-right I/P. Ground is provided via G201 and G202. The Entertainment System on this vehicle is configured with an AM/FM stereo radio with the radio data system (RDS) and either a cassette player or a CD player or both. CD and cassette. The uplevel system provides the customer with extended range speakers and an audio amplifier. Satellite digital radio (U2K) is available with uplevel systems.

Integrated Control Panel-Electronic Automatic Temperature Control
Control Assembly The Taurus, Sable vehicles group together the following systems into a single integrated control panel:

• AM/FM stereo radio
• clock
• rear window defroster switch
• electronic automatic temperature control (EATC)
• full-logic cassette tape player
• compact disc player control (optional)

The remote climate control module is mounted to the A/C evaporator housing behind the integrated control panel. The integrated control panel is connected to the remote climate control module with a dedicated two-wire communication link. The integrated control panel EATC features:

• a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) for displaying set temperature, ambient temperature, function and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
• electro-luminescent backlighting for all buttons and graphics.
• function override buttons.
• temperature control and blower speed rocker switches.

check your fuses first. You may have blown one.

if it has a cassette player, get a cassette that has an mp3 attatchment at the end, could be bought at a radioshack, if no cassette player, then get an fm transmitter, it hooks up to your ciggarette lighter, if it has none of those, then get a new stereo headunit.

yes get a new stereo unless u dont mind cuting up your wiring.

There is no easy inexpensive way to hard wire an MP3 player into a factory stereo from 1994.

But there are 3 possible solutions and the first 2 should be less than $50.00

1. Use an FM transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack on the MP3 player, you tune the existing radio to the transmitter frequency.
2. If it is a cassette deck there are cassette adapters also, uses direct contact with the heads on the cassette deck to play the MP3 -- getting hard to find these.
3. Have a shop put an FM Modulator in the antenna line that has a plug that will fit the headphone jack of the MP3 player. Most expensive of the 3 solutions but will have the best sound of the 3.
