Check your map sensor.(on top left of intake- vacume line connects to back of throttle body) it will crank without it, but will shutoff soon after. Good luck

I experienced this problem, intermittant failure to start. This procedure must be done with the truck RUNNING.
Remove the cover off of your ignition switch. On the top there is a small wire connector that, once the truck is running, should be disconnected. This will turn on the 'SECURITY' light. All will be better, except the security light will be on at all times, much cheaper than replacing the ignition switch, however.

Hi: If you replaced any of these parts what you are describing will occur... 1 - computer, 2 - body control module, 3 - ignition switch in column. In order for the vehicle to run all 3 items have to be from the same vehicle. The only other condition is that the vehicle has gone into theft mode if original parts are being used. To release from theft mode put key in on position... leave on for 1/2 hour, take key out for 5 minutes then start... problem solved. Hope this helps... please rate suggestion... ty
