SOURCE: broken hydraulic arm on rear hatch of 2000 Chrysler T & C

if the bolt itself is broke try getting it off with a pair of vice grips if the bolt sticks out enough otherwise you could take it to a welding shop and have them weld a nut onto the bolt so you could get it out and go to the dealer and buy a new one.

SOURCE: 1996 crystler town and country

It could have switches on the door latches inside each door. A connector may be loose or its a bad switch. Could also be a broken wire in the rubber boot that goes from each door to the body.

Liftgate wont open, have to use the key, but if I press the key to close the rear lift gate it will close it.

can you hear the latch release when you try to open? if no clicking noise is heard then most likely a bad latch assembly. also check the rear door control module to see if smells burnt, if it does it won't send open signal. the module is located behind the plastic shroud on the left of the rear hatch.
