How do i reset mil light

If you have a warning light on the dashboard - you need to have somebody read the error codes.

The hand-held (OBD11) scanner used for reading error codes can also reset any 'check engine'/warning light

What would cause this problem

Still sounds like 'limb mode' to me, but that should trigger some engine-warning light on the dashboard (and definitely internal error codes). The dashboard-light could be broken ofcourse. Would suggest taking it to a dealer for OBD-diagnostics (i.e. reading the internal error codes), that should be a good start.

Guessing what it could be: (MAF, O2) sensors, injectors, overheating (fan not spinning up when need ?), bad fuel, throttle-body, old fluids / oil, clogged fuel / air filters ...

Mecha error shows on the dashboard and goes off. Normally shows when the engine is first started in the morning.

I presume the "Mecha error" is in actuallity the "Check Engine" light? If so, the engine (powertrain) computer (PCM) would have stored a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in its memory. Find out what, if any, codes were recorded/stored in memory... we can take it from there.

I have a 2004 Acura TL with 75,000 miles on it. Recently I had the dashboard replaced and soon after my abs, vsa lights come on every so often. Lately it is more frequent and I have diffculty getting the...

It sounds like when the dashboard was replaced that one or more of your lighting harnesses weren't completely plugged in.

Since your check engine light came on, you now have an error code to help pin it down. I would suggest you take it to an autoparts store and have them read the error codes in your computer. WRITE THEM DOWN IN THE ORDER THEY COME OFF, so you have them. That should give you a starting point for further troubleshooting.

Light on dashboard looks like car with spanner on it dont know what it is

Do you have a Diesel Swift?..The spanner light means your cars computer (control unit) has detected an error .You need to diagnose the car to find out what the error code is,so that you can then replace the faulty part thats throwing out the error.

It means that the computer has detected an error. The next step is to pull the error codes and proceed on that information.

My ford expedition 99 model has a warning on dashboard which states "service engine soon". What is the cause of it

the engine management system has detected an error. What you do now is pull the error codes, then you will have something to investigate....Some times you can get a lube shop to pull your codes for free, then research what the code means...and start fixing.

Ho do i get the error codes to appear on my jeep's dash.

1996 and newer vehicle have the OBD-2 (on board diagnostics-2) system and you need a scanner to retrieve the codes. You can go to Autozone or some other auto parts stores and they will scan your vehicle for free, or you can buy a code reader for under $100.00. A good scan tool is about $400.00 a great scan tool is about $6000.00. Good luck.
