  • Thats a good one!! And your 100% on all of the above!!? I had one here about ten weeks ago, owner had a few lads looking at it including AA which told her the fuel pump was at fault! When I arrived to recover the car 1st thing I seen was the key I was handed! After market copy un-chipped. I asked her ten time is this the key you always start the car with thinking to myself the immobilize had been bypassed! I knew after 2 minutes that there was no spark after less than two turns of the engine! ! So going by being told the chip less key started the car.. knowing all under the bonnet was ok at this stage I started in behind the dash looking for a ball of chopped wires! ! Found nothing out of place! Rang the owner again asking your sure you used this key to start the car, at the same time trying to explain how an immobiliser works then I asked her had she the old broken key, when im then told yes but its not broken.... went back picked it up seen it was the original "master key" went back to the car can you guess what happend next???? Yes the car started first turn...... see she could always use the copy key as long as the master chipped key was hanging right next to it as I showed her by starting the car by original key then it failing to start on the copy key, and then it starting with the copy key with the master key next to it.... so double check my friend... plus the FUEL FILTER IN THE R/H TOP CORNER. ... IF EVERYTHING YOU LISTED IS OK

I'm not sure if I have a copy key or master, it was towed in to my shop with no start, so first I checked all fuses, then looked for a fuel point to check pressure there isn't one in engine compartment, so I listened for pump to come on as you turn key, no pump, so I replaced pump and filter, now pump works, I pulled fuel line off fuel rail it shot fuel clear to passenger side fender, I don't think the injectors are firing???

im not saying its down to the key in your case! as you have a spark! ! clearly its a fuel issue! ! and it very unlikely all four are at fault. ..

New fuel when I changed pump I dumped all old fuel and replaced, I did this so I could make sure all trash was out of tank, and it was a daily driving and it just stopped running! While looking for a fuel pressure check point I found a single wire connector ( green wire) roundish plug no power just laying on top of tranny but I can't find a home for it not sure where and what is does or goes

If you have changed the fuel pump, try changing the fuel filter is it has one it might be clogged. Also find out if you are getting enough fuel pressure through the fuel rail because you might be getting fuel but probably not enough through the fuel rail. Find out how much that pressure is suppose to be. From what your saying it sounds like its got to do with something in the fuel system because if you spray starting fluid in the throttle body, starts and it dies after a little normally that would indicate you have a bad fuel pump. Hopefully your new isn't defective. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

2002 kia rio has fuel to fuel rail ,has spark ,won,t start

So, obviously you have a fueling problem and you will need to find out if the injectors are spraying or not. Check the battery voltage as often the injectors will be shut down if voltage is down around 10 or 10.5 volts. Check the wiring to the injectors also.

2002 honda civic turns over but won't start; not fuel pump or timing belt

Not to sound sarcastic, but I would start with a different mechanic.
Diagnosing a no-start situation requires a basic list of possible causes which we eliminate. You start with spark and fuel and go down the list.
If it has spark, fuel, and compression, it should start. It has to be missing one of the three elements.
It takes time to check every component and go down the list, but that is how its done. You have to check the components one by one.
So, does it have fuel pressure to the injectors?
Does it have spark to the plugs ?
Is the cam timing correct ?
Are the plugs fuel fouled ? Can you spray starting fluid into the intake and get the engine to try to start ?
Has anyone checked the computer for trouble codes ?
Does the engine sound like it has normal compression?

Are you sure the injectors are spraying if the pressure is zero ?
Have you checked the fuel pressure regulator ?
Are the spark plugs dry ?

Won't start

Maybe your injector circuit is not working. Pull off one injector connector and check for power on one of the two wires to the injector-turn key to on, and one wire should have power. If no power with key on, pull off all injector connectors and recheck for power- a shorted injector may shut down the injector circuit, that's why to pull off all injector connectors. If still no power on one wire to each injector, diagnose the injector drive circuit. Also check the fuse for injectors.

Why won't my new fuel pump in my 2002 kia sedona pump even though it's getting juice from the battery

Have you checked the injector rail with a gauge to know for sure the injectors are not getting fuel ?
If the pump is running but not pumping fuel I would think it is a clogged filter or screen in the tank.

My 96 acura integra won't start but turn over

Get some engine starter spray. Follow instructions on spraying into intake. This will serve as a fuel source to test spark/ignition. You will want help cranking the car while you spray. If car stumbles and tries to run, you have a fuel problem. If after trying for a few minutes there is no change, then I would bet you don't have spark. Of course you could go further and say there could be a timing issue, no compression, etc. But I would start with the easy stuff first.
When was the last time you did a tune-up? Are the plugs in good shape?

Crank no start: has no spark and only has injector pulse on cyl # 1. if you spray starting fluid directly into throttle body car starts and stays running and has spark and inj. pulse. once you turn the car...

Fuel pump, you have to have press in the rail to fire all injectors- she will run on ether but not good for her. Ck your pump and any related fuses, relays, wiring.
