Clicking sound near Idler pully

The bearing in the pulley is a single row ball bearing so you can expect a slight side movement in the pulley. Check the drive belt for cracks. Ensure that the belt is running at the top of the pulley and not down in the groove. Lastly if there is no other obvious problems then change the drive belt

What would cause whistling noise near pully and belt area noise gets louder with acceleration

The engine serpentine belt may be worn or wet. The belt slips, causing a high pitched squealing or whistle noise. The other possiblility is a bearing beginning to go out on one of your belt driven components

Chirping noise near belts, I have sprayed the belts and it stops for a second. Noise gets worse with high rpm's

have someone inspect the belts, if they are cracked/brittle, replace them. if the belts are in good condition pay someone to replace the entire tensioner, not just the tensioner pulley.

dear friend-you can carry out a simple test.have some water ready when starting up the engine,if noise appeares poar water over the belts, should the noise fade then you have a dry belt.if not it can be one of the jockey pulleys, the shining should not trouble as the back side of belt that makes it shiny.

97 Lexus Es300 noise under the hood by alternator

mcdevito75 here, If you have 1 continuous belt on the engine (serpentine) then the belt could be worn or the tension pully holding the belt tight could be going bad. No noise in Neautral or Park as increased engine speed in these gears over rides the worn part and thus no noise. On a cold engine examine the belt, look for frays / wear from where the belt rides the pullys. If the belt is 2 years old, Change it.
