Your altenator is going bad. Pretty easy fix if you do it yourself.

SOURCE: 2005 F-150 electrical problem

Could be a problem with your ignition switch. This happend to me. Battery shown it was charged, then while driving, the gauge slowly would drop. There could be a wire that is shot inside the ignition switch.

SOURCE: How do you replace the parking light bulb (front left) on 1993 Ford F-150.

There are two screws and two nuts that hold the lighting unit in place. The screws are at the top. The two nuts are 11mm and located at each bottom corner. You can see the nuts from underneath the truck, but they are accessed from the top.

SOURCE: location of the low side charging port for 1993

If this is a van then the location is toward the back of the fire wall just about in the middle right under the wiper cowl. follow the aluminum line that runs in the back there you will find it .The connection is almost hidden.

Ford thunderbird 1993 3.8l alternator not charging at all brand New alternator Checked the wire harness all ok battery light on checked the wires under the dash bord all looks fine no fuses burnt

You could have a defective voltage regulator. The regulator is not internal to the alternator as is common in most newer cars. If the regulator is not functional, there could be low or no output from the alternator.

1996 Ford Econoline charging problem

Is this E-150 econoline?
Engine running, take reading at generator bat terminal, what is it? The basics, take reading across battery terminals, everything off. Take second reading at bat terminals, engine running. The second reading should be higher than the first if charging system is working. Was the charging system checked on the vehicle when the generator was checked out?
There could be a wiring circuit problem? The bat terminal at generator is hot all the time, engine running or off.

Battery light is on

Sounds like the Alternator is not charging. If you have amultimeter, check the battery voltage. Without the engine running, a fully charged battery will show about 12.6 Volts or slightly higher. With the engine running the Voltage should be between 13.8 and 14.2 Volts which indicates the alternbator is charging. The usual problem if the voltage is still low is that the brushes inside the alternator are worn out. An auto electrician will be able to diagnose the fault if you still have problems.

06 f150 if lights left on for under 10 min truck needs jump

your first three words...battery checks ok....??? See why its difficult to do this from my end?
Anyhow, here are a few suggestions to keep new battery OK.
If you like to sit in parking lots (or other places) with the radio on, put a small battery charger on your battery every month or so to bring it back to fully charged.
If you run the battery down by leaving anything on (key, dome light headlamps, and need a jump to start, charge the battery with charger also, as soon as you can. Reason is, your alternator is not designed to charge a battery. It's purpose is to maintain the state of charge in the battery. Though it may seem OK after a jump and drive, it will never again have a deep charge unless you put it there with a charger.
This also overworks the alternator.
So aside from keeping it clean on the outside, if you follow this rule it will be happy on the inside and give you even longer than its expected service life in return. Good luck with your car!!
