Im guessing this is a LGV!! 7.5ton? Is the noise there before moving off? or only in motion! ! Is it there while free wheeling!! ill research that model abit for you! You need to park her up!! Sounds like gearbox/diff... : ( depending on when it happens ie movement/parked freewheel/under load. ..id double check the basics! Shafts, cupplings, wheel bearings, hate to say this one wheel nuts : )

Sounds like you have some trubble with your electronics. Probably need to hock it up to diagnose it. I would guess that the electronics in your car sends the wrong information to your gearbox, and therefor "lureing" it to downshift. It culd have something to do with the kickdown aswell, but since the gauges act the way they do, It seems more likely to be caused by the electronics.

THE GEAR LINKAGE WILL HAVE JUMPED OUT OF ALIGNMENT, ITS A 10mm af spanner to fix it you should see where it was originally placed by the marks on the selector rod linkage.it needs two person job one under the car with the spanner and one positioning the gear lever.

Is it a bearing or the cv-joint that makes a loud humming sound in the front end when driving at any speed?

ITS PROBABLY TOUR WHEEL BEARING . IF YOUR GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE LONGER YOU DRIVE THE LOUDER IT GETS. OR IF YOU TAKE YOUR WHEEL AND GO BACK AND FORTH A LITTLE WHILE MOVING AND THE NOISE COMES AND GOES ITS PROBABLY A BEARING . A CV JOINT WILL POP WHEN TURNING HARD AND ACCELERATING . THIS BEARING PRESSES IN WITH THE HUB ITS A PRETTY DIFFICULT JOB IF YOUR NOT A TECHNICIAN WELL GOOD LUCK

When I am going down the road my truck shakes really bad. But only when I am on the gas. What could be wrong with it?

it could be a "U-joint" in the driveshaft, a bad tire on the drive axle,a harmonic balancer on the front of the engine

My 97 4wd explorer shakes and makes a clunking noise when I get above 50 mph I've replaced both front wheel bearings and did fine for about a month then started shaking and grabing on the driver side only....

It is usually the CV joints in the drive shaft(s) that are worn, and make this noise.
I would look at your CV joint boots, are they dirty and full of grease on the outside. Does the inner wheel well have grease slung onto it ?
Replacing the drive shaft is a difficult repair. I would have a reliable auto repair center give an estimate.
Please let me know what you find.

check all the front end moving parts for looseness, ball joints, tie rods, upper and lower arm bushings, wheel bearings, brake mounting supports, swaybar bushings, if it makes noise and shifts it its dangerous to drive

GRINDING NOISE IN FRONT END

Sounds like wheel bearing or CV joint is shot at the best your brake pads are down to the metal

The car should be off the road as both sets of bearings can seize with dire consequenses and if it is your brakes !! need I say more

2002 pontiac grand am----makes klunking noise on right turns

If either c/v boot is torn, likely you need to replace that joint (once torn or split, grease gets washed out, dirt enters, joint fails) If joints are OK, likely the hub bearing needs to be replaced.(listen out the window to hear which side the noise is on)

i have the same noise to my 2005 ford f-150
i beleive its a frozen bearing in the universal

does your truck also ingage its self into 4 wheel and make a loud noise
only way to stop it is to stop the truck or shift into 4 high on the go
only happens when it wants 3 times a day or not for a week
