1999 jeep cherokee front and rear windsheild wiper turn on when you try to wash just the front

Hi Bd, If the washer reservoir motors are working and the reservoirs are not leaking and have the cleaning fluid, it's very possible and highly probable that the nozzles are blocked with dirt. Disconnect the pipes, and then put on a pair of safety goggles, Place an air hose over the outlets and open the compressed air, blowing backwards. Connect up the washer pipes and hey presto, clean screens! Regards John

Washer fluid pump not working, and I replaced with new, and still nothing.

It sounds like either you have a hole in the washer line somewhere or more likely a clogged washer fluid line so I would take the line off at the washer fluid motor and at the wipers and try to blow threw it either by mouth or if you have an aircompressor build up 40 or 50 lbs. of air and blow through the line or you can just replace the line with new and see if that works

Windscree washers not working.( Ford Focus 2000 Ghia)

Really cheap and dirty trick!!!
Pull off the pipe from one of the the jets, Take a glass full of water and take a swig, blow this water DOWN the pipe, effectively reverse flushing the pump and sending the debris back out of the filter, flush the bottle again afterwards and refill with water/fluid

Front washer working but no water coming out

Remove the hose off the bottle and then try it. If nothing comes out then replace the motor. If you get water to come out, then the motor is working. The next thing you need to do it blow air through the hose going torward the wipers to clear out the line. Then reconnect the hose and try it again. Good luck...

Cold weather wiper problem

Dear joelgoodison,

Could be the Fuse!
Could be the Wiper Motor Burn't Out if Blades were frozen to windshield when turned on
Until you fix the problem you can buy RainX Wipe-On Glass Solution or Windsheild Washer Fluid which as unbelievable as it sounds will allow you to drive in the all but the worst downpours of rain without wipers!
I love the RainX Windsheild Washer Fluid and rarely use my wipers.
Check the fuses and try RainX and get back to me!
Hope this Helps!

You have two problems. The first is the wipers turn off and stay in the upright position and do not close. The motor is fine. There is a steal 'close' tab that has been bent out of position. You just need to push the steal tab back into position. You can use a chisel or screwdriver to pound it back into the 90 degree position.

The windsheild washer motor probably needs to be replaced
