My power door glass window does not work. After eliminating all electrical checking it looks that the electrical motor is no good. The question is how can I remove this motor to replace it?
    Thanks

I had same problem, it was the gear system some teeth were worn out. it is not expensive if you get used parts. you can get it from a scrap yard for about 50$ then get a friend to instal it for you it is very simple once you take the door panel out. Also check with the yard where you may get the parts most of them will install it for you cheaper then at an auto glass shop or dealership. good luck

Why do the power windows on the drivers side roll half way down?

I have heard of this problem when the window regulator has been changed or disconnected from the car. There is a procedure you need to do before you install it (I don't know exactly what the procedure is).

normally you want the window up to access the motor and regulator but you can remove the window motor and try with a pair of pliers turning the gear manually

I have a 1999 Saturn SL2 the passenger window won't roll all the way up it will move down. I used to be able to fiddle with the center console switch and it would eventually go up. Not any more. Which...

Scrub out the window channel with plenty of washing up liquid. Some mechanisms will not lift a window against concerted resistance as a safety measure to fingers etc. being removed (ouch!) If the window still refuses to rise and you can hear the motor running it is likely that you have worn or stripped the initial teeth on the window regulator mechanism. If the window rises only after you have pulled it up a couple of inches this would also indicate the fault with the regulator mechanism, you may also have to remove the inner panel to confirm this. If so replace the regulator and ensure the first 12 teeth are liberally lubricated with grease.

My driver side window crank handle rolls up and down just fine. When you get the window rolled all the way up the crank handle clicks and turns a few extra inches around.

you need a new regulator, teeth are stripped. you can get a new one for about 40 bucks on ebay. do not use a used one as they are all too old. auto glass shop can put it in for about 50 bucks.

My 1997 SL2 saturn driver window won't roll down. it's electric and it doesn't make any noise. what do i need to do to fix it?

get a new power window regulator for 90 bucks on ebay, pay a glass shop to install it. it is an electric motor and did 10 years service, you can afford to replace it every decade. i have replaced 3 on a 99SW so consider yourself lucky.

My windows stopped working on my '97 saturn sl2. I have checked the relay switch and it was ok. I changed out the relay switch and still nothing. There is no fuse under the hood. Any ideas on what to do?

There IS a fuse under the hood...the green 30A big boy labeled power/convenience. Use a multimeter to check power coming into the relay...if it's not there probably the fuse. If it is there, could be the switches.

If it's the fuse, go to a junkyard and get one cheap. But then, they're pretty cheap new too.

2002 Saturn SL2 driver side mirror glass broken

Ebay, Craigslist, and local junkyards are a good place to find used mirrors.
They have the options, based on the junk cars in their yards and they can look around in other junkyards online to find the right one. I would not think you would pay more than 20-30 dollars. I had 4 saturns and replacing the mirrors was easy, but then I have a roll around tool box and 30 years of backyard wrenching experience. Basically you remove that interior cosmetic part at the front of your window, dig through the insulation, find the bolt heads and remove them. The mirror comes off and you reverse the process to install.

Three of my windows will not roll down in my 1999 Saturn S series. Sometimes, they manage to roll down, but I then have to pull them back up because they won't roll back up. How much do you think it will...

I had this problem on my SL2 - there was a little plastic clip that was broken and I had to purchase the entire window assembly (or something like that it was called) because the plastic clip wasn't sold separately. I likely paid 300-400 total including the labor because it takes forever just to take apart the door and the part wasn't very cheap either.

97 Accord drivers side window won't go up or down....

Window motors & regulators go bad every day. Pull your door panel, unplug the motor, if you have an ohm meter apply the leads to the leads into the motor. One will be ground the other two will raise and lower (reverse) the motor. If you show resistance between the leads the motor windings are good and the problem may be the window regulator. If you do not have an ohm meter, you can run two wires (one ground, the other hot) and test the motor by applying elec to it.
