Yes, remove the radio, with the tools the radio slides right out and in the rear is a fuse, check that and see if it is bad.

I have a similar problem and want to check the fuse behind the radio. What tools are you referring to? What I have seen is that the entire panel needs to come apart in order to pull the radio. Doesn't look complicated but it is involved. Is there an easier way?

Issue is not with fuses but with faulty radio VW does not acknowledge that the radio is faulty but has established a radio exchange program charging $600 - $1000 to replace it with a refurbished radio please report all issues to bbb and nhsta

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Malibu (Radio fuse)

There is a panel on the passengers side of the car, I pulled the fuse used for OnStar because I dont use it. I didn see any labling on mine but it was the fuse located second from the top on the left side, but you have to be looking at it side ways because of the way the fuse box is orientated.
And then put it in the socket all the way to the right second from the bottom, again looking at it sideways. NOTE: My car is a 2006 Malibu LT

Have you checked the fuse box? There should be a dedicated radio fuse.

I own a 2000 VW Jetta. Radio completely Dead

Have you checked the radio fuse? You may have blown the fuse when you jumped the car. The fuse box should be out under the hood encased in black plastic.

The radio just turned off in my 02 vw jetts

This seems to be a common problem with this series of radio. If you open the drivers door and pop the fuse panel cover off the side of the dash, then locate fuse number 42 ( should be 25 amp). Remove the fuse, check to see if it is blown(it usually isn't), if it isn't blown leave it out for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then reinstall. Hope this helps it worked on my 02 Jetta TDI.

In the fuse box on 06 Jetta TDI, which fuse is the radio fuse?

Check out #19 OR check out #8. The fuse should be a BLUE 15a fuse. They are located in FUSE BOX B under the hood on the driver's side. For some reason VW varied the fuse locations from car to car and year to year. None of the fuse panel fuse locations match what your manual says. So there may or may not be any fuses in slots #8 or #19. Either way, you're looking for a blue 15amp fuse - so check all of the blue ones to see if any are blown.

Where is located the ac fuse for a vw jetta 2001?

There is an under the hood fuse block where most fuses are located. There should be a diagram on the underside of the lid that explains what fuse is what. It also might be located on the drivers side of the dash in the door jam. German's like to use little pictures so look for something that resembles A/C and check if any of the fuses are blown.
