Question about 1998 Pontiac Bonneville

Periodic overnight dead battery

Ok this may sound dumb but. My wife drives this car and it run's fine while she is driving it but when I drive it the next day the batery is dead or so close to it that the engine will not even turn over .Now I have read threads about how to check for the power drain but it don't do it all the time so I don't know when or what to do. everything is factory, I feel that it has something to do with the way I drive or better yet how I park and get out and not linger in the car like she does. All I can say is HELP 3.8 k SSE no superchargeer

SOURCE: The other day my car battery was dead. I charged

Low voltage can cause a lot of the car's systems to malfunction. Suspect your alternator has failed and you are running on a low battery. Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running (no jumper cables). It should be at least 14 volts. If not or if you don't have a voltmeter, remove the alternator and take it to your local parts chain for testing. If this is not the cause or if you have any questions, please let me know.

SOURCE: what is really wrong with my 2006 pontiac grand

chevrolet trailblazers have same issues. under the hood with the engine off, look at the engine fan,in front of the fan you will see an electrical plug, follow the plug up in front of your radiator,do you see a boot that the plug runs into? if you see the boot, unplug it. this will give you back the power but will not solve the issue. that fan will need replaced, cost around $300.00 for part but no one will replace it unless they run diagnostic on it to be sure thats what it is,even if you can see the wires are's a power loss issue and i truly wish that gm could have done something different than throwing it to john q. really stinks but try looking at it just to be sure i'm right. if you see i'm not right i apoligize for wasting your time.thank you for choosing and i look forward to assisting you in the future.
