SOURCE: rear heat in 2004 gmc
I have a 2006 yukon and have had to replace the actuator in the rear heat/ac twice. It moves a valve that closes the cold/hot ducts. It is a cheap defective part/design.

3rd row, you simply pull the lever which makes the back fold down and then grip the handle located on the bottom and pull toward you slightly hard. They are heavy so it seems like they aren't coming out, just pull hard. second row, you flip all the way up and push with them standing up and they come unhooked. Good Luck! I didn't have any problems, except they are at least 50+lbs!

See GM TSB 05-08-143-001, If you have Adjustable pedals, especially if they don't work with the memeory buttons, but function with thier own buttons. Its the Brake Pedal Position Sensor is shorted and mesing up the seat module which controls the heaters too. My 05 Suburban had the same issue

there are plastic covers over the front bolts that hold the seat to the floor remove the screws the hold these covers on then remove the two front bolts under these covers then move the seat all the way forward and you should be able to see the two bolts that hold the rear of the seat to the floor pan there could be covers on these to remove the bolts and then tip the seat forward and unplug the wire connector for the power seat(if it has this option).hope this helped
