Look under the Hood in the Fuse Relay Box and see if there is not a Relay for the Flashers. If it is here, Replace it and the Common Fuse for the Flashers that is Supposed to be in the Fuse Panel under the Dash on the Inside. Let me know. Please Rate my Response, I need all the Help That I can Get! Thanks!

1988 ford Taurus turn signals not working. Help? The hazard signals work. Replaced switch on column and flasher. Still no turn signals? WTF?

There are two flashers, one for the four ways and one for the turn signals. If I remember right the turn signal one is on the backside of the interior fuse box.

ck your turn signal switch wiring connector because it is more than likely has been hot and melted some connections.

Turn signals don't work but my four ways do

Four way flashers and turn signals are two different flasher relays. If all fuses are good, then check your owners manual for the location of the turn signal relay and replace it.

Rear brakelights and turn signals do not work

The turn signal and brake lights are controlled by the turn signal switch.
You did not mention parking lights so I will assume they work.

Could be a faulty turn signal switch or a wiring problem between the dash and the rear of the van.

Doing research for a law firm regarding an accident involving a Caterpillar 55 Challenger. Question is if the Challenger had it's four-way flashers on, would the turn signal still work?

Four way flashers and turn signals are typically on the same circuit. If this is the case than no the turn signals would not work since the turn signal switch has been bypassed by the four way flasher.

I wiring diagram for this model would confirm whether or not it was wired in the above fashion.

Left hand turn signal works right one does not , four ways do not brake lights do not . Believe it could be either the turn signal switch or the four way switch

It could be the turn signal switch. the white wire comes from the brake switch into the turn signal switch. Make sure that is hot with brakes applied. the wires coming out of the turn signal switch to the left is Yellow, and Dark Green for the right. Same for the turn signals.

Turn signals aren't working but flashers are

that is because they run off different systems, they both have thier own relays, normally the common fault with flashers not working is either, fuse, or relay (flasher repeter unit), if you turn your turn signals left or right can you hear a click click click noise? if not its your flasher unit, hope this helps

New relay installed fuses checked but only four way flashers working but no left or right turn signals work . is there more than one fuse in another location? this is a 1997 E superduty ford van

try turning the four ways on and off several times tap on the four way switch these switches go bad and keep the turn signals or fourways from coming on

Turn signal problems

Turn signals have a relay (its a small switch that charges and discharges current) which controls your turn signals blinking speed and interval. This is most likely your problem. You should be able to get a new one at your local parts store. Follow these instructions, in this order, and let me know how it works.

Step 1:Turn on the hazard lights and walk around the Taurus checking that all four turn signal lights are working. If any of them are not working, replace the bulbs. A non-working bulb in any of the turn signals will often make the turn signals appear that a flasher is going bad.

Step 2:
Locate the fuse box and check the fuses for the turn signals. There may be more than one. Replace any fuses that are blown and then recheck the turn signals again. If they still aren't working properly, then move on to replace the flasher. Step 3: Look for a round, silver-colored object near the fuse box. Put your finger on the object and turn on the turn signal. You should be able to feel a mechanical clicking as the turn signal blinks. This is the flasher. Step 4: Pull the silver flasher out of the socket and replace it with the new one. Each of the flashers should have two pins sticking out of the bottom side. Start the Taurus and recheck the turn signals to ensure that they work. Joel
