SOURCE: 1995 altima wont go in gear

Hi. the first issue may be a clogged filter on the transmission. i would check the filter to see if its dirty or needs to be changed. The next problem that may be causing the shift issues could be the speed shift solenoids. if these devices are malfunctioning, they can cause the transmission to not shift correctly. i suspect a bad or dead shift solenoid. they are located inside of the transmission pan. If you pull the transmission pan and you see a lot of dirt and metal pieces on the bottom of the pan, you may need to rebuild this transmission soon.

please rate and god bless.

SOURCE: 2008 Nissan Altima won't shift gears while driving

If the RPM's Flare, youv'e gone too long without
recognizing a trans that slips

It will have to come out & be rebuilt, most likely.

SOURCE: 1994 nissan altima sometimes sluggish at take off, high rpms when changing gears

do a transmission fluid and filter change, sound like transmission is slipping not getting enough fluid to go in overdrive.do little tune up,have ignition timing checked and idle speed have throttle cable adjusted could be out of adjustment.if you see check engine light flashing problem could be in the tps sensor.

Why doesnt my nissan altima shift

Im assuming you mean that the vehicle wont move when put it in gear and its an automatic! Check the transmission fluid level if it is ok check if vehicle will move in any other gear reverse 1 or L etc. If not it maybe a torque converter issue and maybe best for a transmission shop to sort

93 mazda mx3 wont shift in high gear

clutch plate worn causing slipping no increase in speed or transmission fluid low or transmission fluid old contaminated, transmission need fluid and filter change.could have fault in the kick down solenoid or over drive cancel solenoid.have transmission shop code scan look for faulty shift solenoids or speed sensor fault code, lock up solenoid got a lot of parts any one of them cause no over drive.

I have a 93 Nissan Altima (AT transmission) and while driving my car....sometimes the speed ometer stays on "0" and the RPM goes up while I have my foot on the gas and it sounds like it is stuck in first...

Speedometer failed when the cable is broken; if the gears wont egnage, its possible that you have any propblem in the Torque Converter or Solenoids. First try with mainenance and check fluids.

My car was parked I turned it on let it warm up a bit, then I let the e brake down and shifted to drive and then a couple seconds later my car just turned off. I drive an automatic 93 nissan altima.

1993 nissan altima on vary hot days the car stalles in gear when letting off the brakes. feels like it is in two gears or it is going in to converter lock up.this will happen severa times. note i un pluged the 5 wire harness that leads to the trans and it will drive out but shifts late.
Ithink it is the TCM

It might be the fan relay switch. When the car gets warm check to see if the fan comes on.
