I have a 2000 Lincoln executive series. I believe the engine fan is not coming on, causing the engine to overheat, but the gauge is at the normal range. Is there a fuse I can check?

its possible it may be the temp sensor switch, which is located on the radiator, easy and cheap to replace, this sensor sends the signal to the fan, if its faulty,or broken, it wont send the signal

Yes, you will eventually ruin the catalytic convertors. So what may be a $200 dollar repair may turn into a $1500 repair.
