Re: ab sensor or anti brake light wont go off how to...
If you have an autozone near you ,go there ask them if they could hook up a code scanner for the abs light to find out why it's on.If not take it to a dealer. you need to get the code to pin point the problem.

Sounds like a fault with the Antilock Braking System. The vibration in the pedal is the ABS working. With your foot on the brake pedal, it releases and re-applies the brakes to stop a skid from the wheels locking up. You need professional service for brakes.
Seems to be a known issue on all Cadillac and requires the ABS module to be replaced.

Get thee to a mechanic! The light indicates a fault in the ABS system. That means that you likely do not have Anti-lock brake functionality. It is likely that one of the sensors of the system is not functioning. This requires diagnosis and repair. If you do not have the appropriate diagnostic tools and the knowledge to apply the results you need to go to a qualified mechanic.
Because the problem is not with pads and/or calipers. If the lights come on only when you brake, you may have a light bulb out. If they come on when you start the car and they stay on, you have a problem with your ABS system (anti-lock braking system). The systems self-check when you start the car, so the light should come on and then go out. If it comes on and stays on, the ABS system has failed. You need to have the vehicle serviced to repair the ABS system.
One of the sensors has gone bad and needs to be replaced, the other thing to that would also do that is the ABS sensor is dirty or needs to be re gaped to the speed ring on the hub.
There was a issue bulletin with your Tahoe on the ABS activating under 8 km/h.
Good luck and hope this helps, if not clean out the sensor with brake parts cleaner and check the wire harness and ABS sensor bracket. Re gap the sensor to the speed ring hub. Here is the bulletin.
Anti lock Brake (ABS) Activation at Low Speeds (Clean Wheel Speed Sensor Mounting Surface) #03-05-25-007C - (05/16/2006)
2001-2006 Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe
When you start to loose your abs sensors(more than one)the brake light will come on.with one sensor going the abs light will come on.I would have your front wheel bearings check seen as how that is were the sensors are.If a weeering sound happens while driving and increases and decreases with with speed I would definatly suspect wheel bearings.
I hope you have the problem fixed by now, but, it is the ABS control under the truck. You need to go under the hood and open the fuse box and disconnect the 60 amp fuse for the ABS, this will turn it off before it burns up. This however will also cause the traction assist off light to stay lit all the time. To the fix the problem you can pay tons of money ($700 or so) to have the dealership install a ABS control and the problem will happen again over time. Or, remove it yourself, go on ebay and ship it off to a guy who repairs them for about $150 and you will never have the problem again. Also, if you wrap your cable ends with plastic and protect them good, you can still drive you truck while the part is being worked on. It takes about a week.
