Question about 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 Truck
While driving at 50-55 MPH the transmission suddenly goes into neutral. I have to pull over and put it in park and then back to drive. I have taken it to a transmission specialist and he could find no problem with it. Has anyone had a problem like this and did you find a fix for it?
Try checking/adjusting the linkage. My 99 3500 TD has a similar problem when trying to shift into Drive. I have to shift to drive then slam down on the shift lever to get it to engage. Once in a while it will pop into neutral if I hit a large bump or something. I've just been too lazy to crawl under the truck to do anything about it.
