Question about 1988 Nissan Pathfinder
On some alternator mounts there is a bush in the hole (Engine part) that can be moved in or out to allow the alternator to fit in easily. You will see it as aprotrusion at the mount point. tap it out slightly and see if you can fit the alternator more easily. When you tighte up the bolt the bush will be moved to tahe uo the clearence as it tightens up. leave the adjuster bolt out while you fit yhe alternator as it will caUSE DIFFICULTY IN LINING UP THE MOUNT HOLES
