01 intrepid 2.7 starts when cold but wont at running temp.
Never had any problems with the vehicle until i went to Best Buy. car drove perfect up to this point. shut the car off, went into BB and came out less than 5 min later. car just cranked and cranked. no start. put starting fluid in its throat and it started right up. if i dont use SF the car has to sit till it is completely cooled off. when cooled off it starts every time. replaced the crank sensor. nada fix. if the car is running ill unplug the cam sensor and car shuts off so i think it is good. i think the electricity/current it was seeing was like 4.5 ir something. or .4... idk... did some research into vapor lock and pulled the plenum off while the car was still at run temp and took off the fuel rail, cold gas poored out. it was full. "yes, i know vapor lock is supp osed to be nonexistent in EFI". just checked to mark it off my trouble shoot list. had it hooked up to computer and it gave me nothing. but check engine light is on. hmmmm.... when i turn the key to "ON" pos, i hear the fuel pump loud n proud. one weird thing tho is that when i unplug coolant sensor harness my buds comp still recognizes it is still in... and even in order to connect his comp we have to jump a power supply from one wire in the cars comp harness to the other power wire pin, otherwise the comp wont turn on. without it jumped advanced auto computer says "not connected". found out it needed power jump after i took it to AA. HELP!!! also put new plugs in.....no go when warm.... car never overheats either. stays below middle line...
There are to many things that can cause the no start. Here is a link that can help you understand the possible problems and links to how to retrieve the DTC codes which is activating your Auto Shutdown relay.
Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted

Do a compression check, if you have lost compression on 2 or more cylinders try replacing the timing belt. If the compression is good across all cylinders and you have an alarm installed by pass the alarm by removing the in line fuse from the power line or cutting the power wire for the alarm.

If your car starts perfect from a cold start then starts playing up when it reaches normal running temp, or if it even cuts out and then wont start again until the engine has cooled down then your going to need to get the following checked.
the most likely cause of your problem is going to be a bad oxygen sensor or lambda sensor for its proper name, now the reason it points towards this being the fault is that this part does not start working until the engine or exhaust is near normal running temp. so you will find that your vehicle will start and run perfect when cold how ever as soon as the engine gets warm this part will start working and cause the car to cut out due to it sending the wrong info to the car fuel management system.
now you also need to bar in mind that this also depends on where your oxygen sensor is in your exhaust now if the sensor comes before the catalytic converter then the chances are your problem is going to be with this sensor, how ever if your sensor comes after the cat then it could also be the cat that is at fault. if your cat comes before the sensor then it would be a good idea to have a diagnostic check done as you could spend money replacing the sensor and find out the fault it with the cat so bare this in mind when finding out the fualt
have the coolent temp sensor data checked with a scan tool it may be out of range causing this issue also could be a fuel related problem have the fuel pressure tested
Usually a problem with the brake switch or the solenoid that locks the shifter in park. You may be able to unlock the key switch without turning the switch on, then take the shifter out of park.
Ok, time for car school. The vehicle is operated by the computer, every electrical concept that is. When the engine is cold, it starts fine because the computer has placed it in "cold start mode", putting more fuel into the engine than normally would until Once the engine is warmed up, a temperature sending unit or temp sensor tells the computer to change to normal run mode. IF said temp sensor is faulty and is not telling the computer to make said change, it stays in cold start mode, still dumping excess fuel in the engine that is now not required, cause it's warmed up. Like keeping the choke closed on older vehicles. Now I think you can answer your own question, when this no start action is happening after warm up and it always starts fine when cold, what's the first thing you check ? Right, the unsuspected temp sensor. Change that and no more start problem. Have a wonderful day. Glad I could be of service.
sounds like it has a slow leak in it i would put dye in it and drive with it on for about 3 days and take a light see if u see dye comeing out anywhere
Did you bleed the air oout of the cooling system - Their is a bleeding next to the therostat housing.
1 - When the vehicle is cold remove the rad(tank) cap and top up the level if needed
2 - start the vehicle with the rad cap off and leave the car run until you can see that the therostat has openned(look in tank/rad) to see fuild flow then open the bleeder slowly to let any air out of the cooling system. Once you have coolant flowing out of the bleeder close the bleeder and install the rad/tank cap.
NOTE - Be careful with the engine running and hot Coolant.
You make need to bleeding system 2-3 time to get all the all out. Once all the air is out of the system you problem should be solved. If air returns to the coolant system have the system checked for possible head gasket leaking air into the coolant system
