Crank sensor on that car should be located near the pulley end of the motor, and near the firewall side. Fairly easy to get to.

SOURCE: locassion of output speed sensor on 2003 Town and Country

The input and output speed sensors look identical on the connector side. The one over the solenoid pack is the input, the one closer to the left frame rail or left front wheel is the output sensor. I hope this helps.

SOURCE: need location of crank sensor

You did not mention the engine size you have, but the sensor is mounted on the trans housing and will look like this on a 3.8 liter engine.

Where exactly is the crankshaft position sensor located in a 1996 town and country lxi (3.8L engine)?

Hello sam adamzz: My name is Roger and I will help you. You can locate the crankshaft position sensor in the transmission bell housing. Standing at the driver side fender. Look at the back af the engine where the transmission and block meet. Just to the right of the block edge mounted in the bell housing you should see a round sensor with a wire lead out of it. This should be the sensor you want. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

How do you replace acrankshaft position sensor on a 2005 town and country van and where is it located?

Ohhh this is a difficult one. The crankshaft is not easy to replace in any vehicle, and vans can be harder.

At least the drive belt is in the front of the motor. You'll have to jack up the front of the vehicle and safely support it on jackstands, the crankshaft sensor is located behind behind the crankshaft sensor on the bottom of the serpentine belt. The Belt has to come off, then the crankshaft pulley has to come off, in order to get at the sensor.

Because they may involve removing part of the air conditioning system to get to it, a seriously suggest seeing a mechanic so have the A/C system professional discharged, before continuing.
