You may want to just sift through your IAs. I posted along with you on this guys washing machine. His pipes froze and the thinks he washer was affected by fozen lines either?

Anyway hadn't seen you on the board before and looked at your profile and went to see your IAs because we have had a lot of trouble in the past few months with trawlers doing drive by IA voting.

Lauren has cleared up all that have been found. She knows a good solution from a bad one. She'll fix yours and you can just ask her to give all of yours a casual review. Its her job anyway.

I could have voted on that once and got you to a TFT, but its best removed entirely.

She's on the West Coast, California, Mateo and I'm in Nevada's Gold Country. She can and doesn't mind fixing these. The admin and staff are really trying to find the drive by voters and they have access to logs of course.

    Thanks for the vote.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Hard to start when cold. Acts like a vacuum leak. Heads replaced and has this problem sense than

Maybe it is a vacuum leak that is causing your problem?
If the engine has hydraulic valve lifters maybe it is suffering from tappet jacking due to a stuck relief valve?
Maybe the valves seats weren't properly lapped in and the seatings, especially the inlet aren't sealing very well.

These things and more need systematically checking and I strongly suggest whoever replaced the heads does the work free of charge.

The transmission filter is stopped up. Change it and add some new fluid and "trans x" conditioner and hope for the beat. Otherwise you need a transmission.

Cant get back right tire off...seems to have some kind of special that normal

That would probably be a lock nut. I assume they are not factory rims and you didn't put them on. Whoever put them on probably didn't want them stolen. So they went out and bought a lock nut. Which you need a key to take off. The person you got the car from most likely has it. If not you can always use to small of a socket and beat it onto the nut or you could beat it off with a hammer by knocking it back and forth till it breaks(although you might not want to miss). Then all you have to do it go down and but a new lug to put in(couple bucks for a lug. Hope I could be of some help. Good luck

Rebuild the 305 or go with a 350 engine and the same with trans.

are you going for extra horse or just to have a bigger block. you can do a lot with a small block to give power. change that cam and intake and add a nice 4barrel and some headers and a thrush exhaust and if money is not a problem some new heads . power is in the heds. you can go on line and find vedeos that will show you how to port and polish your heads and you get bigger valves both intake and exhaust been there don this and you can make a bad *** motor

How can a piston break or what causes it to break

if you changed the heads you should have gone that one more step and changed the pistons. sometimes if the heads arent mic ed right it causes a catch in the running position and causes the break. i assume the heads you put on were new and now salvage yard material??

Tail lights stay on until fuse is taken out brake lights work fine

It happened to me 2 weeks ago, check your brake pedal. there is what we call a pedal stopper (rubber) that pushes the stop light switch everytime you release the brake pedal, and that makes the brake lights shut off. your pedal stopper may be destroyed already. (it looks like a push pin)

hope it helps.
