No heat in cab on caterpillar 299C skid loader,replaced thermostat but air still blows cold

If thermostat is replaced for that purpose and did not resolve ur issue that is assuming you took out all the air out of the cooling system/heating Need start from switching mechanism or vacuum or electric on the inside down to ur switching valve from hot to cold to be able to pin point the cause of the heated water not going in to your heating core and make sure your blower is working. Look and be sure heater shut off valves on engine head and block are open. Then be sure water pump belt is on and not broken. Check this then go from there.

All of the service manuals that came with my excavators (Hitachi, John Deere, Samsung) have wiring diagrams. I would be checking with your nearest Caterpillar dealer or service centre. They are usually really helpful with both parts and information.

Black smoking for a caterpillar wheel loader 988b

Black smoke is excess fuel so i would suspect a fuel delivery problem and without a good look i wouldnt even like to hazard a guess but try cleaning out the air filter first and make sure that any rubber hoses from the air filter to the inlet manifold isnt soft and collapsing when subjected to a heavy load
