Question about 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Theproblem started w/ jeep starting running about 3-5 mins. then stalling as if the ignition was shut off. I started by replacing fuel filter and doing a tune-up.First thing I noticed was the spark gap was .50 instead of .35. I gap @ .35 per man. specks. The problem persisted, then I replaced the crank position sensor. Still same problem. I have spark and fuel I'm assuming the timing is correct, since I didn't do anything with it. Oh this is a 93 jeep cherokee w/ 4.0L. What's next the ignition control module?
Check voltage at coil. Check coil output (spark should be healthy even at 1/4" away from ground). If OK, then change module The only testing on module is with a special tool. Therefore if contacts are clean, that's all you can do with it!
