Question about 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe

Open Question

Hi! I have a Kia carens 2010 2.0 crdi engine with 32,000 kms. We change the oil last week and i'd notice that smoke is coming out from the deep stick and even with the oil cap, i am worried already because this is the usual sign of loss compression or is it that we put the wrong oil in the engine?

SOURCE: my accent crdi engine was over hauled recently but

Black smoke is from too much fuel. Possible coolant sensor problem??? You can have this tested quickly with a live data scanner from a mechanic.

SOURCE: Hi, I've an accent crdi 2003. In mornings engine

I would check the catlic converter to see if its not blocked, best thing to do is to go to a exhaust shop and they can do vacume test or tempreature test.

Kia carens oil light staying on engine sluggish

Hi John, The oil pressure warning light is indicating pressure not level. You say the warning light is on at all times and the engine is losing power? I believe you should have a compression test carried out on the vehicle. It seems highly possible there has been severe damage to the engine. Is the engine emitting any strange sounds? How long has the oil light been on? How often do you service the vehicle by replacing all filters and engine oil? What engine oil do you use? Regards John

My accent crdi 2005 has done 110000 kms . i have regularly serviced it with oil change at 5000 kms interval. but now i have started feeling a lag in the pickup .starting is ok ,smokes only under excessive...

Sounds like you may have a bad piston ring. Get a compression test done and that will tell you if the ring is bad or not. Also, try using a product called seafoam in your engine. The seafoam will clean your engine out very well.
