Re: 2001 Town & Country gas mileage has dropped a bit
Its located under the body of the van on the drivers side.. changing anything on it will not improve the mileage..may be time for a tune up.. induction service or air and fuel filters.. keep in mind that winter furl gives lower mileage

The Fuel pump is in the tank. The only thing I disagree with in emissionwiz post is whether to drain the tank or not. Chrysler started putting drains on the tanks in 2000 to make this easier when they went to a plastic fuel tank. I would drain the tank from the drain, disconnect the wiring then drop the tank to replace the pump. This all assumes that you verified that the fuse in the interior panel is not blown and the fuel pump relay in the power distribution box under the hood is still good.
This is your evaporation cannister. It stores gas fumes for later use by the engine. The car will run without it, but you are violating HC emission laws with it off. If you need instructions to replace it, please let us know.
for traction control. most vechicles are automatic, puch it it may turn it on or off, if it turns off it should have a light that says traction off. Less drive wheels can make minor improvements to gas mileage as well as not wear other parts as much.
